Surrounded by pine trees in the breathtaking Rocky Mountains, Karen lives in a log cabin in the small mountain community of Woodland Park, CO with her feline companions. Born and raised in Wisconsin, Karen now calls Colorado home.
Karen was introduced to Reiki in 1995 and Jin Shin Jyutsu a year later. She has a deep passion and belief in both Arts. Jin Shin Jyutsu is a lifetime study of which Karen commits herself to regular workshops, study groups and mentor programs.
The pathway of Eastern Arts eventually led Karen to become a massage therapist. In 2002 she attended The Colorado Institute of Massage Therapy in Colorado Springs and graduated top of her class.
Karen has had a private practice since 2003 in the heart of Woodland Park located in the historic Victorian Hackman House.
Karen's approach touches every aspect of wellness. Toxins, thoughts and trauma greatly impact our level of wellness. Through her knowledge and education, Karen helps restore balance to her clients. With information provided by her client and through her own assessment, Karen is able to address their specific needs by eliminating muscle tension with massage therapy and hot therapeutic stones and pelvic stabilization (if necessary). Jin Shin Jyutsu helps provide deeper support to the body-mind.
